Pansy longs for the knowledge of what it means to love another human being--completely, utterly, to the sacrifice of all other things. Harry's only want is to survive the war. A chance encounter at Hogwarts on the eve of the war gives them both something they never knew they wanted, simultaneously changing their lives, the war, and the lives they touch in the years too come.
